Faber editor Lee Brackstone has bought UK and Commonwealth rights to Petina Gappah’s second novel, The Last Journey of Doctor Livingstone, from Raffaela de Angelis at WME Entertainment.
Set in 1873, the novel fictionalises the events after the death of Dr David Livingstone, who was attempting to find the source of the Nile.
Brackstone said: “Petina is a hugely gifted storyteller and this is her most exciting and fully achieved work to date.”
