Farshore has announced two promotions in its picture book and non-fiction creative team. Emily Lamm has taken up the position of deputy editorial director, while Harriet Rogers becomes art director.
Previously senior commissioning editor at the imprint, Lamm recently acquired new projects from Leigh Hodgkinson, Rachel Emily, Suzy Senior and Barry Falls, who was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. She continues to report to publishing director Melissa Fairley.
Fairley said: “Emily Lamm is a creative editor with a passion for picture books. She has her finger on the trend pulse and a great instinct for finding new storytellers. I’m looking forward to seeing what Emily acquires next and I know her authors are in the best possible hands to take their careers from strength to strength.”
Rogers has been promoted from the position of deputy art director with immediate effect and now reports to creative director Tiffany Leeson.
Leeson said: "Rogers has a natural aptitude for spotting new talent and creating commercial series branding, including Sarah Coyle and Adam Walker-Parker’s innovative ‘pick your own’ picture book series Pick-a-Story and Ant Middleton’s Mission Total Resilience and Mission Total Confidence non-fiction. She has a bold creative vision and brings flair and impact to our covers.”
