Tate Publishing has hired Fay Evans as commissioning editor for children’s books.
Evans joined Tate earlier this month from King’s Road Publishing, an imprint of Bonnier, and replaces Holly Tonks, who has moved to Simon & Schuster.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the wonderful team at Tate Publishing and for the opportunity to work on such a well-respected list of titles,” said Evans. “I’m really looking forward to working with the brilliantly talented authors and illustrators on this list as well as finding new talent.”
John Stachiewicz, commercial director of Tate Enterprises, which Tate Publishing is part of, said: "We're delighted to have Fay on board, joining Tate's publishing team at an exciting time in our growth and development. With her combination of children's publishing and bookselling experience Fay is brilliantly placed to take our award-winning children's list to its next stage.”
