Element Pictures has optioned Eleanor Moran's latest two novels.
The production company, which has "Room" and "The Lobster" among its credits, is aiming to develop the titles into a returnable TV series.
A Daughters Secret and Too Close for Comfort were published by Simon & Schuster in 2015 and 1016 respectively.
Bafta-nominated Moran combines her novel-writing with screenwriting as well as being head of TV at 42 Productions. Her earlier novels, Stick or Twist, Mr Almost Right, Breakfast in Bed and The Last Time I Saw You, were published by Penguin, Sphere and Quercus respectively.
Element Pictures bought the rights to David Owen's YA novel, Panther (Atom), in October.
