Feature film rights to James Delargy's debut thriller 55, to be published by Simon & Schuster UK in June 2019, have been optioned by Zucker Productions in partnership with Prodigy Pictures.
Rights were acquired from Jonathan Sissons at Peters, Fraser and Dunlop.
The book has been sold into 17 further territories to date, after being one of the hot international sales titles at this year's London Book Fair.
Set in Western Australia, 55 follows Sergeant Chandler Jenkins, as he polices Wilbrook, a remote and sleepy town. Two men walk into Chandler’s station, each claiming to have been drugged and held by the other. Both are adamant the other is a serial killer, planning to make them their 55th victim. But which of the two men is telling the truth, and can Chandler prevent a further killing?
