Fay Evans has been appointed editorial director at the children’s book publisher Flying Eye Books, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023.
Evans is a children’s books author and editor, and has previously worked for Little Gestalten, DK, Tate and Bonnier, creating illustrated non-fiction, board books and picture books. Her debut picture book, The Laugh, was published by Flying Eye Books in 2023.
Harry Gwinner, c.e.o. of Flying Eye Books, said: “Fay has an exceptional track record in children’s book publishing and everyone at Flying Eye Books is delighted to welcome her to the team as we look to grow beyond our 10 years.”
Evans, who will start in the new role on 12th February 2024, added: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the wonderful team at Flying Eye Books and am thrilled to work with their fantastic authors and illustrators. I have long admired their beautiful, brilliant books and cannot wait to get started.”
