HQ is publishing Henry Firth and Ian Theasby's second book, BISH BASH BOSH!: Amazing flavours. Any meal. All plants.
Publishing in April 2019 as part of a two book deal previously signed with HarperCollins, the new cookbook is the follow up to the pair's bestselling vegan debut BOSH!. It sold 100,359 copies for £962,274 through Nielsen Bookscan, making it the biggest-selling vegan cookery book since records began, and occupied the Hardback Non-Fiction number one spot for four weeks.
In this second outing, Firth and Theasby will offer readers over 120 plant-based recipes comprising "quick eats, weeknight suppers, show-stopping feasts and incredible sweet treats", all made entirely from plants. There will also be recipes for burgers, roasts and salads, party food and a meat-free Christmas. Examples include: Hearty Classic Lasagne, Mini Banoffee Meringue, Quick Quesadillas and Curry House Jalfrezi.
According to the publisher, the book is "the perfect book for any food lover" - not just for vegans and veggies - and every dish has been "rigorously tested" by the BOSH! team "to ensure maximum flavour and minimum fuss".
Firth and Theasby, who posted their first video two years ago, now claim the world's largest plant-based recipe channel on Facebook, a social reach of over 26 million people a month, and over 1.8 million Facebook fans.
They commented on the new project: "BOSH! has had the most amazing year, and we’re truly overwhelmed by the support of our fans in making us the fastest-selling debut cookbook of 2018. Since then, we’ve been on an incredible journey with our recipes and we’re so thrilled to be working with HQ and William Morrow again to share the next chapter of it with you in 2019. With over 120 unmissable recipes that we’ve been testing to perfection, this book will show everyone, vegan or not, how incredible and imaginative plant-based food can be."
