She will join on 11th October and report to non-fiction publisher Susanna Wadeson in a newly created role. She will spearhead Transworld’s more commercial non-fiction publishing with a special focus on lifestyle and wellness titles, working alongside editorial director Henry Vines whose focus continues to be adventure, current affairs, sport, comedy and humour.
Fox moves from HQ, where she is editorial director for non-fiction where she delivered a stream of award-winning titles and chart successes including two recent Sunday Times number one bestsellers: Skincare by Caroline Hirons and You Will Get Through This Night by Daniel Howell.
Wadeson said: "I am hugely looking forward to working with Kate and to the fantastic boost of energy, flair and creativity she will bring to the list. We have big plans to grow our lifestyle publishing and I know that Kate is going to drive this area for us with expertise, panache and loads more success!"
Fox added: "I am thrilled to be joining Transworld, with their unparalleled reputation for both blockbusters and literary success. I am so grateful to HQ for the last three years, and so proud to have seen our young non-fiction list flourish there. Now I cannot wait to grow a game-changing list of lifestyle and wellness titles at Transworld that will truly make a difference."
