Foyles has reopened its bookshop at London Waterloo station.
The popular store reopened on Thursday 17th August. It had to close last year due to Network Rail redevelopments in the station.
Foyles said the team used the closure period to invest in the bookshop’s features and fittings, “creating a refreshed, bright and welcoming look, while maintaining heritage location features such as exposed brick wall and two vintage ticket booths at the side of the tills”.
The bookshop mainly serves commuters and visitors travelling into London. A sizeable non-fiction offer makes up most of the ground floor, alongside children’s books and gift and stationery products, with fiction located on the newly expanded mezzanine.
Alina Saadeh-Longo, bookshop manager, Foyles Waterloo Station, said: "We are delighted to have reopened the doors to our beautifully refreshed bookshop. It’s full of exciting new publishing, essential reading and staff recommendations, and we think it looks better than ever – it’s a stunning space in which visitors can discover their next favourite read, just off from the busy station concourse. After all, there’s no better travel companion than a book."
