Kathrin Grün, head of PR and Communications for Frankfurt Book Fair since 2017, is leaving to pursue a new career opportunity.
Having been part of the book fair’s PR team since 2009, Grün left the company on 30th November. On an interim basis, Ines Bachor will take over the co-ordination of the PR and Communications team on 1st December.
Svenja Pütz joined the team as social media manager on 1st August this year. Further members of the team include Kathrin Ankermüller, Katrin Hage and Frank Krings. Tina Pfeifer will return from parental leave in January 2023.
Grün said: “I am very grateful for 13 eventful years at Frankfurter Buchmesse. Many people are involved in the success of the book fair. I would like to thank all my team for their motivated co-operation and, of course, Juergen Boos and all my colleagues.”
Juergen Boos, director of Frankfurter Buchmesse, thanked Grün for her “great work” and “trusting co-operation” over the years.
“With her expertise, her extraordinary commitment and her large international network, she has made a decisive contribution to the success of Frankfurter Buchmesse,” he said. “We are very sorry to lose her, as an employee and as a colleague, and we wish her all the best. We are currently holding final talks on a succession plan, which we will announce soon.”
