Icon Books associate publisher Andrew Furlow is to leave the publisher by mutual agreement as the company undergoes a restructure.
The indie, owned by Jonathan Ball Publishers, is restructuring its sales, marketing and publicity departments with all of them reporting directly to c.e.o. Philip Cotterell. The position of associate publisher is being discontinued. Furlow will leave on 14th October but will continue to work as a consultant for Icon.
“Andrew has been a cornerstone of Icon for over two decades and his contribution has been pivotal to the company in that time," Cotterell said. "It has been mutually agreed that Icon and Andrew’s paths are going in different directions and that this is the time to make that change.
"I’ve enjoyed working closely with him these past years and we look forward to continuing to utilise Andrew’s vast experience on a freelance basis after he leaves. All at Icon wish Andrew every success in the times ahead.”
