HQ UK sales director Georgina Green has been promoted to publishing director for HQ Digital, effective from 4th November.
Green will report to fiction publisher Kate Mills, while Sophia Allinstone, who was recently promoted to editor, will report to her.
HQ Digital is a commercial fiction imprint publishing titles across world English territories, from authors including Katy Brent, Neil Lancaster and Faith Martin. The imprint’s publishing is digitally lead with simultaneous print and audio publication in the UK and Commonwealth, as well as North America.
Green will be responsible for the imprint, managing acquisitions and strategy while working with the team to deliver HQ’s sales targets. She started her career in international sales at HarperCollins in 2009, taking on the role of HQ UK sales director in 2018.
"I am hugely excited by my new role at HQ Digital and the opportunity to build on our success both in the UK and around the world," Green said. "Our digital-first list has delivered significant growth since its launch eight years ago and it has been amazing to be part of the sales team that achieved that. I’m looking forward to working more closely with our brilliant authors and ensuring that HQ Digital is the destination publisher for authors and agents looking for innovative, inspiring publishing."
Mills added: "I’m thrilled that Georgina will be leading HQ Digital into a new era. She’s been a key part of our growth at HQ and her vision for what lies ahead is hugely compelling. Georgina brings terrific market knowledge, energy and huge ambition for what HQ Digital can achieve next. It’s a very exciting time for the list."
