Isabel Gonzalez-Prendergast, project editor of illustrated cookery titles at Yellow Kite and Hodder Lifestyle, is moving to Hardie Grant’s London office as a commissioning editor.
Before her current role, which she took up in 2020, Gonzalez-Prendergast was an editor at Kyle Books, working on titles such as One Tin Bakes by Edd Kimber, The Pastry School by Julie Jones and Bowls of Goodness: Grains + Greens by Nina Olsso.
Gonzalez-Prendergast, who starts her new job on 1st August, said: “I have long admired the creativity, longevity and beauty of Hardie Grant’s books, so I’m incredibly excited to join their talented team. I’m looking forward to bringing even more fresh, dynamic lifestyle voices to their already hugely admirable list."
Emma Hopkin, acting publishing director, said: “We are so delighted that Isabel is going to join us. She brings a huge knowledge of and enthusiasm for illustrated publishing and will be a great fit within the existing creative team.”
