Orion’s Rebecca Gray has been promoted to the company's head of fiction publicity.
Gray, who is currently senior publicity manager at Orion, will take up her new role on 5th September, reporting to group publicity and communications director Helen Richardson.
Gray has worked on W&N’s fiction since 2014, launching The Versions of Us by Laura Barnett and the campaign for Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, for which she was shortlisted for two Publishing Publicity Circle (PPC) awards. Most recently, she has masterminded the PR campaign for Julian Fellowes’s digital project Belgravia.
In her new role, Gray will have strategic responsibility for fiction publicity across all the lists, working closely with the marketing and editorial departments on the direction of Orion’s fiction publishing, whilst continuing to work on W&N Fiction at campaign level.
Reporting in to Gray will be Elaine Egan and a new publicity manager, currently being recruited. Gollancz publicist Stevie Finegan completes the team and will report to Elaine Egan.
