Literary agency Greene & Heaton is to launch an open submissions initiative for writers from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds.
For an initial six-week period, running 17th September to 31st October, the agency will invite BAME authors who write in any genre to submit their work to The Greene Door Project. (The agency does not accept screenplays, however). Every submission will be read by at least one agent and at the end of the project two authors whose work is felt to show the most promise will be given feedback and the opportunity to discuss their work with the agency.
Greene & Heaton said The Greene Door Project will run alongside its usual submission process, which actively seeks submissions from people from all backgrounds.
Information on how to submit to the proejct can be found on the agency’s website.
