Bonnier Books UK group sales director Elise Burns is leaving the company to prioritise her health after a period of leave due to illness.
Burns joined Bonnier Books UK in November 2019, reporting to c.e.o Perminder Mann, and in her role as group sales director oversaw the company’s adult trade, children’s trade, international sales and adult rights. Before joining Bonnier Books UK, she was UK sales director at Bloomsbury.
Burns said: “I’m sad to be leaving my brilliant team and colleagues at Bonnier Books UK, but after a difficult period with my health, I’ve decided to focus on getting back to full strength.”
Mann added: “Elise joined us at a transformational period in our history and has played a key part in helping us to build and strengthen our sales team and increase our Total Consumer Market growth. She has been a fantastic colleague and will be missed by us all. I wish her all the very best for the future.”
Burns will finish working for the company in August. Bonnier Books UK is currently seeking to recruit her successor.
