HarperCollins has acquired The Queer Bible, a “definitive” essay collection edited by Jack Guinness, after a nine-way auction.
HQ senior commissioning editor Dominic Wakeford bought world rights from Juliet Mushens at Caskie Mushens, and subsequently sold US rights to Dey Street Books.
The illustrated collection will see contributors Munroe Bergdorf, Dustin Lance Black, Paris Lees, Lady Phyll, Amelia Abraham and Juno Dawson write about their queer heroes. UK publication is due in June 2020.
