Head of Zeus is expanding its marketing team, promoting Jade Gwilliam to senior marketing manager and recruiting Amy Watson and Andrew Knowles to support the company's development plans going into 2022.
Head of marketing Jessie Sullivan has promoted Gwilliam, who first joined Head of Zeus in 2019 before being appointed communications manager. Watson, formerly of Cambridge University Press, and Knowles, formerly of Kuperard Publishers, have both been appointed marketing managers.
The bolstered team will lead on all marketing strategy across Head of Zeus’ six imprints — Aria, Aries, Ad Astra, Apollo Fiction, Apollo Non-Fiction and Zephyr.
Sullivan said: "I am thrilled to be expanding my team in line with our ambitious goals for 2022. I am pleased to be promoting Jade Gwilliam who has continued to deliver exceptional results throughout the pandemic and helped us to achieve a Nibbies shortlisting. I am also very pleased to have recruited both Amy Watson and Andrew Knowles who both possess impressive marketing skills and will make a very impactful difference at HoZ."
Gwilliam’s promotion is effective immediately while Watson and Knowles will join Head of Zeus on 14th October.
Watson said: "I am thrilled to be joining the award-winning team at Head of Zeus as a marketing manager this autumn. I really admire the creative marketing campaigns Jessie Sullivan's team have delivered — especially in the midst of a pandemic — and I cannot wait to support their exciting plans for the year ahead."
Knowles commented: "I am very excited to be joining the Head of Zeus team at this time of rapid growth and development. I firmly believe that HoZ will continue to stand out in the industry as a publisher that's unafraid to embrace innovation, with the marketing team at the forefront of finding new and inventive ways of reaching readers."
