Hachette UK has launched a partnership with titleShare, an app allowing reviewers, bloggers and vloggers access to audiobooks in advance.
The publisher said the deal, announced in Love Audio Week, will allow a wider range of industry influencers to hear key releases ahead of publication, potentially expanding review space for the titles.
TitleShare, developed by Booktrack, is available for download by Apple users, with an Android version still to come.
Dominic Gribben, editorial director for audio at Hodder, Headline, Quercus & John Murray Press, said: “Booktrack have responded to a very real need for a user-friendly service that will help to establish broader, more consistent review coverage of digital audiobooks in the UK. I’m very excited about this launch and can’t wait to see what the teams round HUK can do with titleShare.”
Booktrack chief technology officer Craig Wilson added: “We've designed titleShare from the ground up to be a simple, secure and cost-effective service for the audiobook industry. TitleShare removes the need for publishers to rely on inconvenient and insecure manual solutions, at the same time ensuring listeners have a great audiobook experience. We're excited to launch with Hachette UK who continue to be technology leaders in the publishing space, and we're looking forward to more innovation in this space."
