Headline is publishing a "passionate" vampire love story: Time’s Convert by Deborah Harkness, the author of the All Souls trilogy.
A Discovery of Witches, the first novel in the All Souls trilogy, is currently in production to become a Sky TV series later this year.
Headline acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Viking US to publish Time’s Convert in hardback and e-book on 25th September. The book tells the story of Marcus, a young surgeon from Massachusetts who jumps at the chance of immortality when he meets a vampire during the American Revolution. But fast forward to contemporary London, when Marcus falls for a young employee at Sotheby's, who also decides to become a vampire, "shadows Marcus believed he'd escaped centuries ago may return to haunt them both - forever".
As well as a love story, the tale is pitched as "a fascinating exploration of the power of tradition and the possibilities for change", perfect for fans of the All Souls trilogy and "all readers of magic, the supernatural, and romance".
Time’s Convert will follow the publication on 8th May of The World of All Souls (Headline).
