HarperCollins has a range of products to tie-in with the upcoming release of the film "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald".
In partnership with Warner Bros Consumer Products, HC is releasing a series of adult print books, including Lights, Camera, Magic! by Ian Nathan and Eddie Redmayne (h/b, £14.99), which tells the story of how the new film was made, and The Magical Adventure Colouring Book (p/b, £9.99).
The range also comprises: Movie-making News by Jody Revenson, which was inspired by the newspapers in the films and will reveal untold stories from the making of the first film (p/b, £12.99); The Archive of Magic by Signe Bergstrom and Jude Law, featuring information about the props used in the films (h/b, £30.00); and The Art of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald by Dermot Power and Stuart Craig, which illustrates the design process by revealing concept sketches, card models of the sets and storyboards (h/b, £35.00).
Chantal Restivo-Alessi, chief digital officer of HarperCollins US, said: “We are thrilled to continue our relationship with Warner Bros Consumer Products in North America and internationally to coordinate and integrate book publication of film tie-in editions across multiple languages and markets to ensure the widest possible readership and awareness of the books and the film.”
The titles will be published globally across the autumn to coincide with the release of the film, which is scheduled for 16th November.
"Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" is the sequel to "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", released in 2016. The franchise is based on J K Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts title, originally a spin-off title from the Harry Potter series, and the film scripts were also written by Rowling.
Last week Audible and Pottermore Publishing announced ithey would also publish a tie-in title. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald – Makers, Mysteries And Magic (£23.95) is narrated by Dan Fogler, who plays Jacob Kowalski in the franchise, and goes behind the scenes of the films, with with interviews with Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law and more.
