"A Christie for Christmas", the inaugural event by HarperCollins to celebrate the famous crime writer, will be held at the top of The News Building in London on 19th November 2024.
To begin the evening Bella Mackie will be discussing how Agatha Christie inspired How To Kill Your Family and What A Way To Go. Jane Casey, Suk Pannu and Vaseem Khan will be on the first panel that will discuss their love of Christie and her "masterpiece" And Then There Were None. The second panel will see Mark Aldridge, Sophie Hannah and Lucy Foley talk about the influence of Christie on their work. Both panels will be led by broadcaster Jeremy Vine.
David Brawn, publisher of estates, said: "We are all excited about this rare opportunity to welcome Agatha Christie fans into the home of her publisher HarperCollins, on the spectacular top floor of The News Building. To do so in the company of esteemed crime writers and experts who have all been inspired by Christie, and in celebration of the author’s masterpiece And Then There Were None, recrafted into a gorgeous new gift edition that revives the longstanding tradition of a ’Christie for Christmas’, seems particularly fitting."
"A Christie for Christmas" will also celebrate HarperCollins’ "unique" edition of And Then There Were None where the final solution will be sealed in an envelope at the end of the story.
Attendees will be invited to wear Golden Age black tie to immerse themselves in Christie’s world.
Tickets are priced at £10 and are now available to purchase via Eventbrite.
