Kate Elton has been promoted to group managing director, adult commercial publishing at HarperCollins UK, reporting into c.e.o. Charlie Redmayne as part of a change to the publisher’s trade publishing leadership team.
HarperCollins said the moves “better reflect existing responsibilities and align with the market”.
Lisa Milton becomes m.d. and publisher, HQ, Mills & Boon and Pavilion, Kimberley Young becomes m.d. and publisher, HarperFiction and One More Chapter and Sarah Emsley becomes m.d. and publisher, HarperNonFiction and HarperNorth. Milton, Young and Emsley will report into Elton.
Cally Poplak becomes m.d. and publisher, Farshore and HarperCollins Children’s Books and David Roth-Ey becomes m.d. and publisher, Fourth Estate and William Collins. Both report directly into c.e.o. Redmayne.
Redmayne said: “We have seen continued growth, and a strong performance across the UK business. I am pleased to be making these changes to the trade publishing leadership team, and to support the future growth of the trade business with the promotion of Kate to the broader role of group managing director, adult commercial publishing.”
