HarperCollins Publishers has acquired world all languages rights for two novels by Australian author, Sandy Barker.
Molly Walker-Sharp, assistant editor at Avon, acquired rights to One Summer in Santorini and one other novel from Lina Langlee at the Kate Nash Literary Agency. The book is slated for digital publication in June, with a paperback to follow.
One Summer in Santorini follows Sarah, who has decided that she needs to take a break from dating and fall in love with herself again as she embarks on a ten-day sailing trip in the Greek islands with a group of strangers, said the publisher.
Walker-Sharp said: “I adored this book from the moment it landed on my desk – it’s funny, honest and the ultimate beach read. Sandy’s characters are relatable, entertaining and real, and I can’t wait to share them with the world and take everyone on the summer holiday of a lifetime later this year.”
