Harvard University Press and HarperCollins India have launched a new collaboration in South Asia today (Thursday 10th October).
HarperCollins India will have exclusive rights to sell and distribute Harvard University Press publications in the Indian subcontinent.
The arrangement was announced by George Andreou, director of Harvard University Press, and Ananth Padmanabhan, chief executive officer of HarperCollins India.
Andreou said: "We look forward to having HarperCollins India, with their excellent reputation and strong presence, represent our titles in this important, growing market."
Padmanabhan added: “I’m delighted we will be representing Harvard University Press in India. I’ve long admired their publishing program -- which includes the prestigious Murty Classical Library -- for its dynamism and intellectual vigor, and I’m looking forward very much to expanding HUP's readership in a market as young and vibrant as India.”
