Headline, a division of Hachette, has hosted its first romance and romantasy influencer event, called #MeetCuteFest. The event was held on Tuesday evening (3rd September) on the Hachette rooftop terrace.
The idea behind #MeetCuteFest was to curate an informal space for content creators, booksellers and authors to mingle while enjoying activities such as a highly popular bracelet-making station; a photo station with props; a share-your-favourite-romance-trope post-it wall; author signings; and a Taylor Swift inspired drink corner realised in collaboration with Welbeck’s Taylor Swift publishing, with cocktails from Shake it Up.
#MeetCuteFest promised its attendees a celebratory moment for the wide breath of Headline’s
romance and romantasy list across Headline Eternal, Accent and Wildfire. Tickets for the event
sold out in less than 24hours and saw more than 100 book influencers in attendance. Those
who took part were encouraged to share their evening online via the #MeetCuteFest hashtag
and enter Headline’s competition to win £50 in book vouchers.
