Headline has paid tribute to actor Matthew Perry, who died over the weekend aged 54.
The "Friends" star was found dead at his home in Los Angeles, law enforcement sources told US media.
Perry’s memoir Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing was published with Headline last year, and reached the Hardback Non-Fiction Number One spot.
Mari Evans, managing director at Headline, said: “Everyone at Headline is shocked and saddened to learn about the death of our author, Matthew Perry. He was an enormous comedic talent, a giant of 20th-century pop culture, and his searingly honest and profound memoir captures the struggles he endured with addiction and fame throughout his adult life.
“He told his story with his trademark humour, but the pages also reveal – in devastatingly moving but understated and direct prose – how addiction conspired to undo him. We’re glad he had the chance to publish his memoir in his lifetime, which now not only represents the incredible legacy of an all too short life – but also remains an important helping hand for anyone struggling with their addictions. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends at this heart-breaking time.”
