Travel publisher Heartwood Publishing will move its distribution from Grantham Book Services (GBS) to BookSource starting from 1st October 2024, ahead of next year’s transformation of the Grantham warehouse into a new operational hub for Penguin Random House US.
All orders should continue to be sent to Grantham Book Services up to—and including—30th September 2024, and customers should "make payments for accounts due to the originating distributor".
Authorised returns of orders placed before 30th September that require processing by 30th December should be received by GBS no later than 13th December, as the distributor will not process returns after this date.
"The approachable team at BookSource left a strong impression, and I know that they and GBS will work together to ensure a seamless transition," said Heartwood Publishing managing director Andy Riddle. "The directors’ passion, enthusiasm, and expertise in book distribution at BookSource made the decision process straightforward. I know our list is in safe hands. I want to thank the team at GBS for their care over the years and wish them the best for the future."
Davinder Bedi, managing director at BookSource, added: "I’m delighted to welcome the Heartwood team to the BookSource family, and I look forward to strengthening our relationship further. Moving distributors is not an easy decision for any publisher, however, I am delighted that we have demonstrated that the BookSource team is focused on delivering an unrivalled distribution service."
From 1st October 2024, all orders should be sent directly to BookSource at customerservice@booksource.net, via Pubeasy or by calling the distributor.
