Icon Books publisher and editorial director Duncan Heath is leaving Icon Books to pursue a freelance career.
Heath was made publisher at Icon Books in 2018. He recently acquired Rebel Sounds, an investigation into music and resistance by Joe Mulhall, and has published books by authors including Keith Kahn-Harris and Danny Goldberg. His last day will be 31st January, after which time he can be contacted on Duncan.heath1@ntlworld.com.
Nick Hayward, c.e.o. of Icon Books, said: “Duncan has been with Icon since 1st January 1995 and has seen many changes over that time. He has been an integral part of the team and has the respect of those who have worked with him both internally and externally.”
Heath said: “It’s a great privilege to have been involved with Icon almost from the outset in the early 1990s, and to have helped it to grow into the respected non-fiction publisher it is today. All through that time, the quality of the books we produce has been paramount, and I’m confident that the excellent staff at Icon now will carry that legacy forward.
“I would like to thank all my colleagues, past and present, and of course our wonderful authors, without whom nothing would be possible."
