Henley Literary Festival has announced the tailor-made travel specialist Travelbag as the new main stage sponsor. The main stage will be located at Phyllis Court, and will be aptly named the Travelbag Stage.
The marquee, which holds 500 people, will be one of the central locations for the festival’s line-up of authors, including Rick Stein and Sarah Raven.
Natalie Watson, brand and campaigns marketing manager at Travelbag, said: “We are pleased to announce that we are the main stage sponsor for the Henley Literary Festival. With so many incredible authors attending the festival, visitors will truly be able to see some of the best that UK literature has to offer.”
The festival, which is taking place on 28th September, has been sponsored by Baillie Gifford for the past 10 years. However, in June this year, controversy hit company announced it would be "ending sponsorships of all literary festivals at the end of this year and that they will not be present at Henley this year" in June 2024.
Henley’s new sponsor Travelbag was founded in 1979, and specialises in "bucket list" destinations. They join other sponsors including The Independent, Laithwaites and The Relais Henley.
Harriet Reed- Ryan, events director at the Henley Literary Festival, added: “The Travelbag stage will have authors covering such a range of subjects from athletics to politics, to fashion and gardening. We always say there truly is something for everyone at this year’s Henley Literary Festival.”
The festival will take place between 28th September and 6th October and is located across Henley-on-Thames. Tickets are currently on sale from £8 at the Henley Literary Festival’s Box Office.
