Hera Books has acquired two untitled thrillers from A A Chaudhuri. The first will be a "gripping, dark and sinister" psychological thriller.
Keshini Naidoo, publishing director, acquired digital and print world English language rights from Annette Crossland of the A for Authors Agency.
Naidoo commented: "When A A Chaudhuri’s submission came in, I lost a day reading this utterly gripping, dark and sinister psychological thriller. By the time I got to the shocking end twist, I was determined to publish this book. With a heady mix of sex, betrayal, dark deeds and even darker secrets, this is such a compelling book. We are so proud to be launching Alex into the psychological thriller market, and excited for readers to discover this unputdownable read for themselves!"
Chaudhuri said: "To be given this opportunity by Keshini and Lindsey, two of the most respected and dynamic professionals in the industry, is an absolute privilege and dream come true. I am beyond thrilled to be working with them and bringing my new psychological thriller out into the world and, of course, being part of the Hera family alongside so many amazing and talented authors."
Chaudhuri is the author of The Abduction and The Scribe, both published with Lume Books in 2019 (then Endeavour Media). The Abduction will also be published by Isis Audio in March 2021, narrated by David Thorpe.
