Transworld has announced promotions for three members of its publicity team: Tom Hill, Hayley Barnes and Izzie Ghaffari-Parker.
Hill, who joined Transworld as a publicity assistant in 2016, and rose through the ranks to become publicity manager in 2019, has been made senior publicity manager. Transworld said he "consistently demonstrates outstanding professionalism and tenacity, producing high quality publicity campaigns across many of Transworld’s fiction and non-fiction titles including those for Alan Brazil, Neil Oliver, Rowland White, James Holland and Jason Fox in 2020."
Barnes has been promoted from senior press officer to publicity manager. A former researcher in television entertainment, she joined Transworld in 2017 as publicity assistant, was promoted to press officer in 2018, and to senior press officer at the end of 2019. Last year, she delivered numerous creative and sales driving publicity campaigns including for Jane Sanderson’s novel Mix Tape, and for titles from Selma van de Perre, Trisha Ashley and Simon Mayo.
Ghaffari-Parker joined the Transworld publicity team at the beginning of 2020, just before lockdown, as publicity assistant. Credited for having worked "tirelessly" to support the entire department, and having played "a vital role in keeping activity on track", she has been promoted to press officer.
