Kimberley Atkins has joined Head of Zeus as publishing director for fiction, effective from 21st September 2023.
Reporting to managing director Nicolas Cheetham, she will spearhead the strategy and publishing for the company’s Aria, Aries and Apollo Fiction imprints.
Atkins was most recently publisher at Hodder & Stoughton, before being made redundant in August. Prior to that she held editorial roles at Penguin Michael Joseph in the UK and Penguin Random House Australia in Sydney. She has published authors including Lucy Score, Stephanie Garber, Sophie Cousens, Holly Bourne, Gillian McAllister and Paige Toon.
She said: “I am delighted to be joining the dynamic team at Head of Zeus and to help shape their fiction publishing across the Aria, Aries and Apollo lists. It’s such an exciting time for commercial fiction in the market and I’m thrilled to be taking on a strategic role where I can champion authors, publish brilliant books and reach new readers.”
