Sarah Hornsley, previously of The Bent Agency and a 2019 Bookseller Rising Star, has joined PFD as an agent in the books department.
Her clients include Anstey Harris, whose debut The Truths and Triumphs of Grace Atherton (Simon & Schuster) was a Richard & Judy Book Club pick and went on to win the Contemporary Novel Award at the Romantic Novelists’ Association Awards. She has also worked with Russ Thomas, and Phillipa East, whose suspense thriller Little White Lies (HQ) was shortlisted for the CWA Debut Dagger Award.
Tim Bates, head of books at PFD, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Sarah to PFD. Sarah has brilliant instincts and adores commercial and genre fiction. She has already built a very impressive list of bestselling writers and we’re hugely excited about being able to give her all the support she and her clients need. Sarah will make a brilliant addition to the PFD team.”
Hornsley added: “I am thrilled to be joining such a creative and collaborative team at PFD. I can’t wait to find new voices in commercial fiction and build my existing authors to new levels of success.”
