Hutchinson has pre-empted Power Hour by podcaster, wellness professional and TEDx speaker Adrienne Herbert.
Hutchinson editor Anna Argenio did the deal for world rights with Flora Webber at Independent Talent, and the book will be published in hardback, e-book and audio in December 2020.
On the popular podcast of the same name, which has over one million downloads, each week Herbert talks to "leading men and women", including business entrepreneurs and Olympic athletes, to motivate listeners "to pursue your passion and to achieve success". In the same vein, the book will help readers to "reclaim your time and unlock your full potential by taking the first hour of each day to focus on what you want to achieve – whether that’s writing a book, running a marathon or starting a business".
Argenio said: "I’m thrilled to be welcoming Adrienne to the Hutchinson list. I’ve been a fan of hers for some time – but now more than ever the Power Hour message of making sure you carve out time for your passion feels urgent and necessary. Like the podcast, the book will be inspirational and empowering, but also gives practical advice for creating your own Power Hour. I can’t wait to help bring the Power Hour movement to readers everywhere."
Herbert said: "I have wanted to write this book ever since I first started talking about my morning Power Hour back in 2018. The Power Hour has been an absolute game changer for me, so I really hope that this book will help others to not only start each day with energy and purpose, but also to create a life that they truly love."
