IOP Publishing (IOPP) and Morressier have entered into a new partnership to develop an integrated platform aimed at streamlining the peer review and journal submission process.
The partnership aims to improve efficiencies for authors and reviewers and provide “the best possible publishing experience”. They say the system will enable “rigorous” peer review of research outputs and offer “a fast and seamless process for authors and reviewers, building on proven Morressier workflows".
Moreover, it will be “built with integrations in mind, enabling publishers to take advantage of the variety of peer review supporting services on the market”.
Miriam Maus, chief publishing officer at IOP Publishing, said: “We’re looking forward to exploring what is possible by combining Morressier’s experience of developing powerful platforms with our extensive knowledge of the publishing process. Our shared goal is to provide outstanding services to the research community. By taking this collaborative approach, we can deliver a modern, truly interoperable system that has the needs of the researcher built-in and takes full advantage of available technologies.”
Sami Benchekroun, Morressier co-founder and c.e.o., said: “This partnership with IOP Publishing is a major milestone in unlocking the true potential of science. We’re going to slash the time it takes authors to submit while setting the standard in integrity and quality through the application of streamlined workflows and the latest technologies. We’re also setting out to create the best possible experience for authors and reviewers. It’s time that we, the scholarly community, got this right.”
