Simon and Schuster will release blockbuster writer Jackie Collins’ backlist in digital format at the end of the month.
The publisher bought the novelist’s first 20 titles from Pan Macmillan in June 2011 when it announced it would also publish Collins’ new work as e-books, along with promising a “huge promotional push” for the backlist.
Those backlist titles to be released as e-books on 31st January include Chances, American Star, Hollywood Wives, The Stud, The Bitch and Lethal Seduction.
S&S digital sales and marketing manager Ally Glynn said: “We are incredibly excited about bringing Jackie Collins’ backlist into e-book format, allowing her UK fans the opportunity to download every single one of her 28 books onto their reading devices for the very first time, as well as introducing new readers to the glamour and scandal of Jackie Collins’ novels.”
Collins moved to S&S for her book Lethal Seduction in 2000.
The 74-year-old writer and actress said: “As an author who has never been out of print, I am delighted to be bringing all 28 of my books to the e-book format. It's new, it's exciting, and I know my loyal fans are going to love it!”
