Joe Wicks' Wean in 15 (Bluebird) has star-jumped into the UK Official Top 50 number one according spot to Nielsen BookScan. The baby-feeding guide leapfrogged Sally Roney's Normal People (Faber) to claim Wicks' 18th week at number one. It becomes the live-streaming personal trainer's first Hardback Non-Fiction number one since Joe's 30-Minute Meals in September 2018.
Normal People slipped into second place but remained at the top of the Mass Market Fiction top 20. Though new entries were thin on ground, James Patterson's Killer Instinct (Arrow) debuted in 14th place and Nora Roberts' Under Currents (Piatkus) hit 16th. The Rooney effect continued with Conversations with Friends (Faber) rising to 10th place in the Top 50, up 12 places week on week.
Stephen King's If It Bleeds (Hodder) and Hilary Mantel's The Mirror and the Light (Fourth Estate) held firm in the number one and runner-up spots for Original Fiction, with Adele Parks' Just My Luck (HQ) debuting in third place.
Adam Kay's This is Going to Hurt (Picador) notched up another Paperback Non-Fiction pole, with Max Hastings' Chastise (William Collins) the highest new entry in fourth place.
David Walliams' Slime (HarperCollins) slid into a seventh straight week as the Children's number one, as the author's former comedy partner Matt Lucas scored his first Pre-School number one with Thank You, Baked Potato (Egmont).
Once again, Nielsen BookScan was unable to provide sales figures or market data, owing to the reduction in the number of retailers remaining open during the pandemic lockdown.
