John Bond launches Whitefox

John Bond, former m.d. of Press Books at HarperCollins, has teamed up with former HarperPress senior editor Annabel Wright to launch a new publishing services outsource agency, whitefox (www.wearewhitefox.com).

Bond and Wright are supported by financier Rupert Ashe of D5 Capital, with Peter Collingridge acting as advisor.

The company will offer access to specialist services for producing and launching books both physically and digitally. A number of projects for illustrated book and enhanced e-books are said to already be in hand.

Bond said: “There only seems to be one word to describe publishing today: pressure. Pressure on overhead; pressure on existing internal resources; pressure on speed to market; pressure to find the right people at the right time . . . Our aim at whitefox is to help solve these problems so that anyone can publish faster and more profitably.”
