Jessica Jones has left Oxford University Press to take up the role of senior campaigns manager at The Book Publicist, where she started her career in 2017.
She joined OUP in December 2019 as an associate publicist on the academic publisher’s trade list, also managing publicity for the Oxford World’s Classics and Very Short Introduction series.
The Book Publicist said Jones would bring passion and expertise for working on history, science and politics books alongside skills in running full impact PR campaigns to her new role.
“We’re thrilled to have Jess back on the team,” Ella Davidson, founder and director of The Book Publicist, said.
“She is a talented publicist with extensive experience in non-fiction publicity and first class writing skills. Jess has a real nose for a strong news hook and as well as being a much-loved colleague was always very popular with our authors and clients. We have big plans for the business and it’s fantastic to know Jess will be central to making that happen.”
According to the organisation, Jones has already hit the ground running with a roster of new smart thinking and business books, as well as a very "of the moment" political memoir.
She said: “I am delighted to be back at The Book Publicist, it is a real privilege to be working with such a supportive and creative team. It will be great to put my experience to work in this exciting time of growth for the company.”
