HarperCollins' director of growth and analytics Alvar Jover and its group digital director Joanna Surman have been appointed to join the publisher's UK executive committee.
They both take up their positions with immediate effect, reporting direct to c.e.o. Charlie Redmayne.
Jover is responsible for delivering and implementing revenue growth strategies using advanced analytics and software development. He joined in 2014, having previously worked in related roles for companies including Accenture and AVG Technologies.
Surman has responsibility for the digital, audio and insight teams, and her remit includes digital business development and product. She has worked in the digital sphere for more than 20 years, working at Sky Digital Media before joining HarperCollins in 2008. Most recently, she oversaw the launch of the We Love Romance e-book subscription app with Mills & Boon.
Redmayne said: “I am delighted that Alvar and Jo will be joining the HarperCollins UK Executive Committee to represent their areas of the business. They will be excellent additions to the team and will bring new perspectives and insight to our discussions.”
