Joyce to handle rights for Jenny Brown Associates

Andrea Joyce, until recently rights director at Canongate, is to handle rights for Edinburgh-based literary agency Jenny Brown Associates.

Joyce, a past winner of Rights Professional of the Year at the British Book Awards, will be liaising with scouts and sub-agents to sell the Jenny Brown Associates list internationally.

Brown said: “I can’t think of anyone better than Andrea to look after international rights on behalf of our authors, and to take their work to an even wider readership. She’s already familiar with many of our books from her time at Canongate and, like us, has a passion for writing from Scotland.”

Joyce added: “I have long been impressed with Jenny Brown Associates and their brilliant list which is a wonderful and beautifully curated mix. I am thrilled to be working on it and look forward to bringing their superb authors to even wider international attention.”
