Louisa Joyner has been promoted to the role of associate publisher at Faber.
In her new role, she will continue to expand Faber's fiction lists, leading the acquisition and publishing strategy for crossover and genre fiction, including crime, in addition to overseeing audio strategy. She will report to publisher Alex Bowler.
Bowler said: "Since joining Faber in 2016, Louisa has been a driving force in the renewal of the list, overseeing the publishing of authors such as Louise Doughty, Barbara Kingsolver and Nathan Filer. She has brought us immense success, financially and critically, encapsulated in the publication of Milkman, the fastest-selling Booker-winner in history.
"She has also, in publishing writers from Akwaeke Emezi to Samantha Irby, Andre Aciman to Ingrid Persaud, changed the perception of what a Faber book might be. In her new role, she will continue to change perceptions, as she develops and leads this essential area of our list."
Joyner was made publishing director at Faber last year, and before that she was an editorial director. She previously had roles at Canongate, HarperCollins, Virgin Books and Atlantic Books.
