Kate Craigie is leaving John Murray to join Cornerstone Press as senior commissioning editor in newly created role.
Craigie will focus on acquiring titles on psychology, relationships, health and lifestyle, and will be reporting to Rowan Borchers, publishing director for non-fiction.
Craigie said: “I have been eyeing Cornerstone Press’ incredible list of books and authors enviously for some time, and cannot wait to play a role in their continued growth.”
Borchers added: “This is a period of exciting growth for Cornerstone Press, and Kate will play a crucial role in taking the list to even greater heights.”
Currently senior editor at John Murray, Craigie having previously worked at Yellow Kite Books and Two Roads, she currently commissions for John Murray’s practical non-fiction imprint John Murray One. Her acquisitions for the imprint include books by immunologist Dr Jenna Macciochi, financial behaviour specialist Emma Edwards and digital marketing pioneer Ann Handley.
Craigie was previously a senior commissioning editor at Yellow Kite Books where she published books including Life Is Sad and Beautiful by Hussein Manawer and Your Daily Companion by All On the Board.
