Bonnier Books UK has hired Kate Manning to the newly created role of group director of sales, marketing and publicity of children’s trade.
Manning will oversee sales, marketing and publicity for the company’s six children’s trade imprints - Templar, Big Picture Press, Hot Key Books, Piccadilly Press and Studio Press - and will report to James Horobin, marketing and publicity director of trade, group sales. She will start the role on 4th February.
Horobin said: “We have an exceptionally strong portfolio of children’s imprints at Bonnier Books UK and, with her experience and strong reputation within the children’s trade, Kate is ideally placed to help us drive sales and recognition of these lists. I look forward to welcoming her to the team.”
Manning was sales and marketing director at Hot Key Books and Piccadilly Press from 2012 to 2015, leaving to join The Phoenix Comic. She has also held children’s sales roles at HarperCollins and Simon & Schuster. She launched a children’s literature magazine, The Read Quarterly, with Sarah Odedina in 2015.
