Stephen King has been promoted to the role of managing director at Hardie Grant, leading the publisher in both the US and UK markets.
King will now oversee the development of Hardie Grant Publishing US, including the Hardie Grant Books North America imprint which launches this autumn under the leadership of publisher Jenny Wapner and marketing and publicity director Lorraine Woodcheke.
Sarah Lavelle, who has been leading the successful Quadrille imprint for nine years, will take on new responsibility leading the UK imprints as managing director, publishing, Hardie Grant UK.
Kajal Mistry, publishing director of Hardie Grant Books London, and Kate Pollard, recently appointed as publishing director, will form her leadership team “to deliver a growing and creative list”.
Julie Pinkham, group managing director, said: “The promotion of both Stephen and Sarah acknowledges their extensive contributions to HGPUK’s success to date and brings together their expertise to foster further growth as we commit to expansion in both the UK and North American markets.”
These change will be effective from 1st July 2023.
