Kizzy Taylor-Richelieu has been appointed senior commissioning editor of automotive at David and Charles, leading on strategy and commissioning for the company’s Veloce imprint, and will be taking up her new role from October 2024.
Taylor-Richelieu previously worked at Oxford University Press, where she helped to develop and coordinate the Oxford World’s Classics fiction and non-fiction list.
David and Charles acquired the Veloce imprint, which publishes into the automotive categories, in February 2024. It was founded by Rod Grainger, who has been providing book consultancy support since the acquisition and will handover to Taylor-Richelieu over the coming weeks.
Speaking of the appointment, publishing director Ame Verso said: "This is the next step for us taking the Veloce imprint forward as we bring on board the expertise to lead the commissioning of the list for the long term. We’re excited to have Kizzy join the team and lead on the strategy and commissioning for Veloce as we take the business forward."
Taylor-Richelieu added: "I’m excited to be joining the David and Charles team and to be taking on the role to lead the commissioning of Veloce books. The imprint has a rich history in the category and that is a great platform to build on as we look at new publishing opportunities going forward."
