Knights Of is donating books to multiple organisations this Christmas to "Gift a Story That Matters".
The Knights Of team has selected organisations from its local community to get books into the hands of those "who feel under-represented, underserved or overlooked". Lordswood Community Library, Newham Christmas Toy Appeal and Pimlico Toy Library are on the donation list, as are St Anselm’s Catholic Church Southall and Sudbourne Primary School.
Aimée Felone, managing director at Knights Of, said: “At a time of year when there’s such a huge focus on gifts and presents, being able to give back to the schools, communities and charities whose work means so much to us individually and collectively at Knights Of is a huge joy. Whether it’s for people who can’t afford life’s essentials or for those who have gone unnoticed, we want them to know that they matter.”
In addition to donating books, Knights Of is partnering with Bookshop.org to offer a 20% discount on all its titles. Felone added: “Indie bookshops have been a vital part of our success throughout the years and offering Bookshop.org a discount on all our titles is for us a small way to spread joy and say thank you. The ’Gift a Story that Matters’ campaign this Christmas is a fantastic way to spotlight our wonderful authors, illustrators and characters and their stories that matter.”
Nicole Vanderbilt, managing director of Bookshop.org UK, said: "We’re proud to be working with Knights Of on this inspiring initiative. We know how popular their titles are with independent booksellers across the UK, and it’s fantastic to see an indie publisher supporting indie bookshops in this way.
"Knights Of is one of the most innovative and exciting children’s publishers, and we look forward to booksellers helping the inclusive books on their list reach new homes and readers that otherwise may not have been the case."
Further information is available online and customers can purchase discounted Knights Of titles from Bookshop.org using the code knightsof20, while bulk order enquiries should be directed to echapman@knightsof.media.
