Octopus imprint Kyle Books has acquired a new money-saving cookbook of healthy recipes by "This Morning" chef Phil Vickery.
Judith Hannam, editorial director, acquired world rights from Shirley Patton, head of publishing at ITV. Save Money Good Diet: The Nation’s Favourite Recipes with a Healthy, Low-Cost Boost will be published on 30th May in paperback.
The book features 70 easy and affordable recipes, including healthy versions of the country’s top 10 dishes including fish and chips, spaghetti bolognese and chicken tikka masala.
Vickery is a resident chef on ITV's "This Morning" and has won numerous accolades, including a Michelin star at the Castle Hotel in Somerset, four AA Rosettes, plus The Times Restaurant of the Year prize.
He said: “This is the perfect book for me as although I will never compromise on flavour I will always look for ways to save money and make the process of cooking easier. I don’t view it as a ‘diet’ book but one that lets you cook and enjoy food with a nod to being healthier and prudent.”
Hannam added: “A good diet is hugely beneficial and can lower our risk of developing life-threatening conditions so is something we should all aim for. Phil Vickery is a former Michelin-starred chef as well as a TV favourite so is uniquely placed to deliver delicious recipes that prove that eating healthily doesn’t have to be expensive.”
