Laidlaw promoted to Kyle Books' head of UK trade sales

Marianne Laidlaw has been promoted to head of UK trade sales for Kyle Books, part of the Octopus Publishing Group.

Laidlaw joined Octopus as part of its special sales team in late 2014, rising the ranks to become specials and supermarket account manager in 2015 and key account manager on trade sales in 2017. She will now handle Kyle’s UK trade sales overall, including budgeting, valuation, pitching for new talent, attending pub meetings, jaclet meetings and working closely with Kyle books editorially.

Alongside these new responsibilities, Laidlaw will continue her work across supermarket accounts, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and W H Smith high street for Octopus.
